Garth's Story

Meet Garth!

Garth is a big, lovable goof with an even bigger heart-and he's ready to find his forever home! This friendly guy is fully potty trained, crate trained, and does wonderfully with both men and women. He currently lives with a three-year-old and has shown he can be gentle and respectful with little ones. His estimated birthday is 6/29/2021.

True to his size, Garth believes he's a lap dog and absolutely lives for attention and affection. He's a champion cuddler who loves being close to his people and meeting new friends-his enthusiasm is contagious!

Garth is an active, high-energy boy who thrives with plenty of outdoor time. Fetch is his absolute favorite (especially with his beloved blue squeaky toy he's had since puppyhood), and he'd be thrilled with a home that enjoys walks, playtime, and giving him "jobs" to do. His foster says his dream career would be a delivery driver-always on the move and happy to help!

He does well with the female dog in his foster home, though he can be selective with other dogs and may prefer to be the only dog or matched carefully with the right canine companion. He's shown curiosity around cats but hasn't had enough exposure yet to say for sure how he'd do long-term, but we suspect that he'd probably be best in a home without cats.

Like many smart, energetic dogs, Garth can get a little bored if left alone too long, so he'll do best in a home that can provide structure, exercise, and continued training-especially to polish up his walking manners. And while baths aren't his favorite activity, he's happy to forgive you afterward with cuddles.

If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who's always up for an adventure (or a snuggle), Garth might just be your perfect match.

Are you ready to make sweet Garth a part of your family?
