Gabriella's Story
**Dog breeds listed are best guesses from veterinary professionals, they are never a guarantee. www.brownpawsrescue.com.

Gabriella is a 10-year-old Yorkie. We don't know her backstory. All we know is someone wasn't willing or able to see this senior through to the end. It's obvious at some time she knew love and security and all the good things in life.

Gabby is a girl who is going to devote her very existence to whoever ends up being her person. In her current home, Gabby was selected by a lovely young special needs woman to be her very first foster. The two of them are tight as can be. According to Gabby's foster, Gabby is sometimes "sticky" as in, she is ALWAYS by your side.

But if a loyal and loving companion is what you are looking for - Gabby is your girl. Gabby is pee pad trained. She sleeps in a crate quietly overnight next to her foster mom's bed. She is dry all night. When Gabby goes to events, she has no accidents. So, holding ability is there but most likely pee pads was the norm where she came from.

Gabby doesn't ask for much. Just let her hang with you, let her sleep on the couch with you when sitting down. Walks are fine. Car rides are even better.

Gabby would prefer a home with no other dogs. If there is one, it would be good if the other dog will ignore Gabby's attempts at bossing it around or put her in her place firmly. Gabby is not a barker unless someone is at the door or in the case in this home, she does not like it at all when the bigger dog is playing toys with the family. She finds it very annoying and it agitates her.

Gabby is in good health and definitely has a lot of zip, life, and years left to her. She does have a limp which we have had evaluated twice with the vet. He said Gabby has structural abnormalities and wing shoulders. Her limp has not been able to be definitively diagnosed but appears to be soft tissue structural issues. X-rays for bigger problems were negative.

But here is the best part of what he said, without a doubt Gabriella has people out there who will love her just the way she is - it will just be a matter of finding that person.
