Gabby's Story

Meet Gabby!
She is a 2.5-year-old Labradoodle weighing 43 lbs.
Gabby came to us with significant hair loss from a breeding kennel (as shown in the last picture). At the time, we were unsure of the cause, but we now believe it was a hormonal imbalance, as the hair started growing back after she was spayed. She has now been groomed down to make all of the hair that she has the same length. There is a chance that the rest of the hair may never grow back, but there is also a chance that it will.

Gabby is very shy at first, but is a gentle and kind soul when she warms up to you. She keeps her kennel clean, but will need some time to adjust to your new schedule. She is good with other dogs; cats are unknown, but shouldn't be an issue. She would do best with older kids, but younger kids will be okay as long as they are calm and understand to give her space if she needs it.

Please place an application to give this girl a forever home!
https://www.safeharboranimalrescue.org/application
Adoption fee: $400

Safe Harbor Animal Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Meet and greets are by appointment only, and will only be scheduled with approved adopters. The first step is to place an application on our website. https://www.safeharboranimalrescue.org/application Please make sure to call your vet to give them permission to release your records, and call your references to let them know we will be calling. Applications are not taken on a first-come-first-serve basis. All dogs will be placed in homes that will best suit them. Applications with false information or incorrect details may take longer to address or be denied. We require that current/previous animals are/were up to date on vaccines, kept on flea/tick/heartworm prevention year-round, and spayed or neutered. If you are applying from out of state we require that you have a vet reference with current/previous records and you must come get the dog from our facility in person. As long as all parties feel like the meet and greet has gone well, you will then sign the adoption contract and take the dog home. The adoption fees range between $300 and $700, depending on age, breed, and other factors.
