Meet Gabbie. This little 6-year-old, 8-lb. Yorkie mix will curl up on your lap as long as you’ll allow. But she is also spunky and playful. She is completely house trained, rides quietly in the car and walks perfectly on a leash. Her foster family has 3 dogs - small, medium and large - (male and female) and one cat. It took Gabbie a few days to not be fearful and snappy towards her foster fur siblings, so separation with slow intros at first are a must. She would be happiest in a home with a submissive dog around her size. She does not care for being in a crate very long, although she doesn't mind eating in her crate. Vet visits are extremely scary for her; she doesn’t take kindly to being poked and prodded, so unfortunately she has to be muzzled during the visit. She is always sweet and loving to her humans though. This little lady is vocal, letting you know when she sees anyone approach, or when someone new visits, or when she hears a sound that could be danger. When you return from being out, her whole back-end wags because she is so excited to see you! And when she stands for several seconds on her back legs, it’s as cute as can be!
