Meet Fuji!<br/><br/>Fuji is a 1-year-old, 54 lb Terrier mix who has all the makings of a fantastic family companion.<br/><br/>This handsome young guy loves children, gets along well with other dogs, and already knows "sit." He’s playful, affectionate, and has an especially adorable habit of carrying his stuffed toys around with him.<br/><br/>Fuji also loves exploring the world with his nose. Sniff walks are a favorite, and once he burns off some of that initial young-dog excitement, he walks nicely on a leash.<br/><br/>Thanks to our Pause 4 Paws program, Fuji recently spent an afternoon away from the shelter with a family, giving us an even better look at what he’s like outside of a kennel. They described him as a sweetheart who enjoyed relaxing, chewing on a good stick, and, most of all, staying close to the kids.<br/><br/>At just a year old, Fuji still has plenty of youthful energy and would love a family who will include him in their everyday life. Walks, backyard playtime, adventures, toys, canine friends, kids to hang out with, and a comfortable place to relax afterward all sound pretty perfect to him.<br/><br/>Fuji has already shown us that he can be so much more than a dog waiting in a shelter kennel. He’s ready to be someone’s playmate, walking buddy, adventure partner, and best friend.<br/><br/>Come meet Fuji and see why the people who spend time with him fall in love.
