Frosty's Story

Meet Frosty!

Positives: Frosty is one of the friendliest huskies you’ll ever meet. This incredible boy has such a great demeanor, he’s very sweet and has a quirky personality. To say he has a lot of character would be an understatement. When he gets excited, he loves to give his people kisses, but will also jump around and catch the zoomies. He’s not a very chatty husky, but has no problem finding ways to communicate to you what he wants. He’s extremely affectionate and cuddly with his people. He’s always looking for opportunities to jump up on the couch with you for a snuggle. He loves a good treat, is food motivated and we think is easily trainable. He takes correction well and is responsive. He gets along well with other dogs but does best with slow introductions and a little time to warm up. He walks like a dream on a leash and we haven’t seen much pulling or reactivity. He’s potty and crate trained but may need a quick refresher in the home. He loves to be with his people and we think like many of our other huskies, that he would be a great outdoor adventure partner. He would be your buddy who’s up for hikes, camping and other activities. He loves playing with his toys and he is ready for a new home to spoil him.

Things he needs support on: We think Frosty may have a bit of kennel stress and does have some mild resource guarding over food. We think this is very trainable when given time and structure. It doesn’t seem like frosty knows how to properly play with other dogs and when he does, he tends to have a bit more of a dominant style. He can also get mouthy with his play when with people out of excitement, but does take correction very well. He is an active breed and will need a home that can provide him with proper mental and physical stimulation for him to thrive. He will need a home that can give him time, structure, and a routine so he can properly acclimate to his new life.

Location: Langley, BC
No cats | Dog friendly (with slow intro) | Best with older kids
Adoption fee: $100
