This beautiful dog will be featured at the upcoming adoption event at the PetSmart store at South Adams Road in Rochester Hills on Sunday, May 6th! This dog and other dogs and puppies will be at the Rochester store for one day only, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. These animals are unavailable for early viewing. Dogs will be adopted on a first-come basis. Please note that due to the volume of calls on these adoptable dogs, we are unable to answer specific questions about them in advance. Frodo is a sweet boy that is always happy. He likes to be pet and play with his toys. Make sure to research breed before adopting. Huskys have a lot of energy and very high prey drives. They are known to be very independent and Frodo is no different. He will need to be brushed two times a week to ensure no matting will occur. He can be very vocal at times when he wants attention. He must meet other dogs before adopting (NO EXCEPTIONS). It's recommended he go to a home with kids 10 and up due to energy level, any younger should meet with Frodo first. It would be best if the household had no cats and a privacy fence for the yard. We strongly recommend crate training and positive obedience training. Please offer lots of toys for chew and play. Adoption Details! Cam adoption fee is $175. The adoption fee includes the sterilization (already done), MHS identification tag, fecal test and worming, age-appropriate vaccinations (including Rabies if over 4 months of age) and one free office visit at an MHS vet center within 10 days post adoption if needed for illness (cost of treatment not included). Adopters will also receive a coupon for a free bag of Purina One food. PetFirst health insurance policy is available at additional small cost. Adopter must provide leash, collar, and housetraining crate. Adopters should be prepared to spend one to two hours at the event in order to meet dogs, talk with adoption counselors, and complete an adoption. Payment is expected (cash, check or Visa/MC/Discover charge) in full. All dogs go home with adopters same day. Adopters must be at least 18 years of age; provide current photo identification; and live in a place where pets are allowed. Please bring along all family members in the household to meet the dogs and pups. Other dogs living in the household are also encouraged to come to the event for best matchmaking.
