Despite that, Frito is incredibly sweet and quietly brave.<br/>At a perfect 40 lbs, Frito is much smaller than her mom and has more of a boxer look, though she’s truly a lovable Heinz 57 mix. She may greet the world with the cutest little mean mug, but don’t be fooled—once she knows she can trust you, she absolutely melts. Frito’s favorite place is curled up in your lap, soaking in affection and reassurance.<br/>She takes a bit of time to warm up and has leaned on her mom for confidence, so separation will be emotional for her. Because of this, Frito will need a patient, committed adopter who understands that love and security take time. With that patience, you’ll be rewarded with a devoted cuddle bug who just wants to be close.<br/>Frito has done well with every dog she’s met so far. She’s polite and curious, more interested in figuring out if they’re kind than in full-on playtime. A cat-free home is a must. Her kennel and bed are her safe spaces, and she is fully kennel trained with zero accidents.<br/>She walks nicely on leash and did fabulous at the vet, but car rides are still scary—understandably so, given her past. With consistency and gentle reassurance, she will continue to gain confidence.<br/>Frito is spayed and up to date on vaccines and prevention meds. She may be small, quiet, and reserved—but her love is deep and genuine.
