Frito's Story
Meet Frito — A Little Boxer Mix With a Big Heart
Frito may be small, but her story is mighty. This 1-year-old under 40lb boxer mix girl was found dumped on Potato Chip Road with her best friend Ruffles (who is also looking for a loving home!). The pair have leaned on each other through everything and have some old battle wounds. While they truly adore one another, we believe they can each thrive in their own forever homes with the right families.
When she first arrived, Frito was a little spicy — who could blame her? But once she realizes you're safe and kind, she melts into the sweetest cuddle bug. She’s not made a mess in her kennel, loves her little treats, and has a serious "mean mug" paired with a tough bark that makes her look braver than she feels. Underneath it all, she’s a sensitive soul just wanting someone to trust.
She’s still getting used to the leash and can be nervous about getting into the car, needing a gentle lift inside. But once she’s in, she rides quietly and did wonderfully at her vet visit. With other dogs, she’s done well and shows polite curiosity — she just prefers slow introductions and appreciates her space until she feels comfortable.
Frito is vaccinated and on her prevention meds. She will be spayed on 12/9, and once she’s healed, she’ll be ready for meet-and-greets with her future family.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion wrapped in a tough-girl exterior with a marshmallow heart, Frito might just be your perfect match.
Ready to give this brave little chip her happily-ever-after?
Adoption is free, but a meet and greet is required at the potential adopters home. If you think Frito could be a good match for you, please text/call Michaela 660-723-5010.
