Frijol's Story

Frijol and his siblings were born after their pregnant mum was lucky enough to roam onto the property of a kind animal lover on the outskirts of Puerto Vallarta. The rescuer has cared for them ever since, but has to move to a small apartment and is seeking happy forever homes for them. Frijol is very timid and is looking for a quiet non rural home. He has gone to the Saturday market a couple of times with the SPCA PV volunteers to be around the different sights and sounds and is getting braver each time. He is 2 years old and weighs 18 lbs, is spayed, healthy and vaccinated. If you’d like to apply, please email pvcaadoptions@gmail.com

PVCA Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our sister organization, the SPCA Puerto Vallarta, has a sanctuary, staff, trainer and medical team who work with the dogs and cats until they are deemed "adoptable". Once they pass their health exams, which include blood tests which certify they are able to cross borders, they are transported to Canada and/or the United States and enter foster or permanent homes. All our animals come sterilized, and fully vaccinated and dewormed. Our organization relies on the caring volunteers who open their homes and foster the animals until they are adopted. We do not have a sanctuary or shelter in Canada or the United States. Visits must be arranged and we prefer an adoption application to be filled out and approved before visitation.
