Frida (Portland, OR)'s Story

Meet Frida — Professional Cuddler, future Water Dog & All-Around Sweetheart!

Miss Frida wants nothing more than to love and be loved. Her ideal evening is curled up next to her person on the couch, and luckily, she is conveniently lap-dog-sized! If you are looking for a loyal cuddle partner who will happily settle in beside you at the end of the day, Frida may be your girl.

Don’t let her love of snuggling fool you; Frida is still a puppy and has plenty of playful energy. She loves spending time outside, chasing squeaky rubber balls, and, most of all, playing with the hose. We have a feeling there may be a future water dog hiding inside this little girl!

Frida may not be highly food motivated, but she is eager to please her people, learns quickly, and responds beautifully to encouragement. She would likely enjoy having a playful, confident, “well-seasoned” dog in the home who could show her the ropes. She could also be perfectly happy as an only dog as long as her family continues giving her opportunities for puppy classes, playdates, and socialization.

Frida is still building her confidence, and even though she has come a long way, new situations can sometimes make her a little timid. She will benefit from a patient family that will continue helping her practice leash walking, meet other dogs appropriately, and learn that the world is safe and exciting.

Frida has had limited exposure to children but has been curious and comfortable when she has encountered them. Because we simply don’t have enough experience to know how she would do with very young children, a home with kids around age 5 or older may be the best fit.

Frida is looking for someone who sees the wonderful dog she already is and is excited to help her continue becoming the confident, playful, affectionate companion she is meant to be. If your idea of the perfect dog includes puppy adventures, hose-playing afternoons, and a warm little body curled up in your lap at night, Frida would love to meet you.

Frida is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her core vaccines. She is being fostered in Portland, Oregon..

Adoption Process:
- Adoption Application
- Phone Conversation
- Meet & Greet
- Home Visit
- Application Approval
- Adoption Fee & Contract ($490)

Our adoption application is available at pnwcdr.org/adopt.
