Frida- loves the dog park- see video's Story

Frida is a wonderful dog! She loves to go for walks, she crates up well, and rides in the car fantastically. Frida knows how to sit and shake, and is housetrained. She would love to sleep on the bed with her new owner. She is great with cats, and tries so hard to play with the foster family's senior dogs, who want nothing to do with her. Frida is very treat motivated, and this will be good, as she does need some touch up on some manners, like barking at other dogs on leash out of excitement, and begging for table food. She has been fantastic with kids. Frida needs to go to a home who will walk, run or hike with her, as she does have energy!

Frida loves to play with other dogs. She went to the dog park this morning and was great. She matched her play energy with the dog she was playing with, and played very gently with a tiny dog. She loved visiting all the people at the dog park and said hi to anyone who wanted her to. Frida knows to avoid dogs who do not want to play. She has no food aggression.

Frida had a bladder stone removed. She might need to stay on a prescription food to prevent her from making new bladder stones- but it is too early to tell. She only had the surgery a week ago today! (9-2-26)

We are only guessing on her breed mix! She is 20#.

The adoption fee is $300 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, de-worming, current flea treatment, current vaccines for their age, and a vet exam. Northwest Animal Companions is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the pets in our care.

Please head to our website to fill out an application prior to sending an inquiry or asking to set up a meeting. (See application at https://www.nwac-oregon.org/dog-application). Once your adoption application is approved, we will contact you to put you in touch with the foster family and volunteer veterinarian to ask any questions and then an in person meeting.
