Thank you for your cooperation.<br/>PREGNANT<br/><br/>NEW TEMPORARY INTAKE 8/17/2026: Freya - female - 1.5 years old - approx 58 pounds - Standard Poodle<br/><br/>Reason for intake: We were contacted about a PREGNANT Standard Poodle named Freya. The owner rescued her from a terrible situation in Arkansas. She was emaciated, scared and terribly matted. She got her vetted but she wasn't well enough to spay. As she gained weight, it was noticed that her belly became more and more round. RUH ROH! The owner is elderly and didn't want to deal with puppies so she reached out to someone who reached out to us. We agreed to take her in through delivery of her puppies and until they are weaned. Once the pups are weaned, we will have Freya spayed and we will return her to her very worried mommy.<br/><br/>We wanted her in foster instead of the rescue and thankfully, we had an open spot with one of our fosters, Gail, and she agreed to take her in. She's set up now and bonding with Gail and now, we wait. X-ray showed that she had 6-9 puppies and is due in a couple of weeks. She is HUGE... not much more room in that tummy! Stay tuned!<br/><br/>Oh, and for reference, there were several males on the property... a couple of poodles, a lab and a pit bull... so it could be one of the dogs as the father or multiple!
