Freya's Story

Freya is a red/rust, natural-eared girl and is about 2 years old. She was very frightened when she first came to her foster home. It has taken quite a while, but she has come a very long way and is ready to be adopted. She's still very shy of new folks, but wants to be friends and does come around. Once she trusts you, Miss Freya is extremely loving and affectionate. She gets along well with other dogs and would do best in a home with another canine, although she
can have a mischevious side so a laid-back dog buddy would be best. She's very agile and can hop a 4 ft fence if she wants so she'll need a higher fence. A home with no fence would be OK, too, as long as you have a good exercise plan for her. She's not high energy, but she's young and needs consistent exercise. She would probably chase a cat so she should go to a kitty-less home. Due to her insecurites at this time, a home without young children would be best. Freya is looking for a dog
savvy home who will give her the time and structure she needs to adjust to a new environment.

DAR&E only places within the Maryland, DC, West Virginia and Virginia area.
