French's Story
NOTE: All adoptions are only in the greater Houston, TX area.

Please Note: WE ARE NOT A SHELTER- ALL DANES ARE IN FOSTER HOMES

Meet French, a handsome 5-year-old black male Great Dane with a heart as big as he is. French is super sweet, loving, and gentle, and he gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes.

French is neutered and current on all vaccines. During his neuter procedure, the veterinary clinic discovered that French has a blood disorder called Thrombocytopenia, which can cause decreased platelet levels and may significantly impact his ability to undergo surgery in the future. GDRST has since treated French, and he is currently stable, symptom-free, and doing very well.

Moving forward, French will need annual bloodwork to monitor his platelet levels and should remain on an iron-rich diet, or as recommended by his veterinarian. Thankfully, this condition has not slowed him down at all—French is just beginning to discover toys, and his true, playful Great Dane personality is shining through.

This sweet boy is very low-key and easygoing, making him an excellent companion for anyone who loves the Great Dane breed and is looking for a calm, affectionate friend. Won’t you consider opening your heart and home to French? 🖤

If you’re interested in fostering or adopting, please visit www.saveadane.org
to submit your application today!

ADOPTION CONTRIBUTION FEE: $350.00

In many cases, the cost of vetting services is greater than the adoption contribution. The adoption contributions help defray the costs of vetting services, but rarely, if ever, cover all expenses. Additional donations are welcomed and appreciated. Please consider making a donation to help offset medical expenses.
To do so, please visit our website at www.saveadane.org

GDRST will have the following services completed as part of the adoption process. Each animal will be spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, heartworm treated if applicable, fecal tested, de-wormed, microchipped and monthly heartworm preventative

Please note GDRST is an all-volunteer, run by individuals with full time careers. In order to meet with a Dane that you are interested in, please complete our online application. After receiving your application, a volunteer will verify with your vet the care on your current or previous animals and then contact you to set up a home eval and to discuss which Dane may be a match for you.

Great Dane Rescue of Southeast Texas
16516 El Camino Real #402
Houston, TX 77062-5723

Information E-mail: info@saveadane.org

Adoption E-mail: adoption@saveadane.org

Website www.saveadane.org

Connecting Great Danes to Great People

Great Dane Rescue of Southeast Texas
