Fregus's Story
Fergus just turned 3 years old on January 2nd. He is a male Bichon, 10 lbs, neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked this month, healthy, sweet and loving!

He is good with kids and other small dogs (but may be timid with larger dogs). He is great for the groomer and for the boarding babysitter at her home with her kids and dogs.

He will let you know when he has to go outside by standing up on his hind legs and begging. He is house trained and poo pad trained but he does sometimes leg lift a little to mark his territory, so the owner is currently keeping a belly band on him inside just in case. You would need to do the same until you are sure he is not leg lifting in your home.

He loves to play with his toys both alone and with his human. He was previously crated but would get very anxious if locked in the crate when anyone leaves so it is best to NOT crate him. If you want to contain him when you leave to go out... put him in an x-pen or a gated room.

The current owner inherited him about a year ago when a family member passed, but she is 75 and knows that he will most likely outlive her so she feels it would be best to rehome him now to a family or people that will keep him for life and will be able to play with him and walk him more than she is capable of.

He does like to look out the window and bark at the people passing by so best for him if he was in a house (not an apt, condo or townhouse) so if he does bark it won't disturb neighbors.

He is just the cutest little bundle of love and joy and someone will be very lucky to bring this sweet baby into their family!

If you are interested in adopting Fergus, please fill out our application at this link:
https://bichonrescuenj.com/bichon-frise-rescue-nnj-adoption-app.html

If you have already filled out an app on OUR Website (Not petfinder or other rescue sites) Then you can email us from the email you used in your app and we will look it up. Email us at: NNJBichonRescue@Yahoo.com

Fergus is currently in the Brick, NJ area, so we are taking apps from NJ, Southern NY, and Eastern PA.
