Freedom's Story

Freedom has quite the story! We can't prove it but she looks as though she might have been used as a bait dog because of her injuries and scars. She was found emaciated, heartworm positive, with part of her ear missing, and suffering from severe eye injuries leading to it being removed. And her future didn't look good when she was in danger of being killed (she was on the euthanasia list at an animal control facility) because she had no family or human to care for her. However, see what a loving foster home can do!! Look at Freedom today after having eye surgery, completing heartworm treatment, and receiving tender love and care. She has come SO far! She has gained weight and learned to play with toys. It's wonderful to see her happy, playing, and interacting with dogs and people. She is the most incredible, humble, loving dog. She gets along with any dog, cat, and human she has met!! Freedom loves walks, car rides, lying on a recliner, and playing tag with the other dogs. Her left eye has healed well and she has adjusted just fine, although her perception is sometimes a bit off, so she can startle if approached unexpectedly on that side. She is now waiting for the perfect happy ending to her story - a loving forever family!
Foster_email: Renice@cox.net
Good_with_other_animals: Yes, good with cats and dogs
