Freedom 's Story

"HI. IT'S ME. FREEDOM aka Maverick.
I know... strong name. Big expectations. Don't worry...l deliver.

I'm a 3-year-old German Shepherd, and if you asked my foster, they'd probably tell you l've had a bit of a glow-up. I didn't always feel this confident, this playful, this me. But these days? I've figured out that life is actually pretty great - especially when it includes walks, toys, and humans who love me.

l've got my routine down. I enjoy a good walk (with plenty of time to take in the world), I'm always up for a car ride, and I take my job as "neighborhood observer" very seriously. Inside the house, l'm a solid roommate - potty trained, crate trained, and I know how to relax. Outside? I'm ready to play, chase a squeaky toy, or just hang out with you.

I love being around my people. I'm the kind of dog who wants to be included - whether you're heading out for an adventure or just moving from one room to another, I'll be right there, making sure everything is going according to plan. I also get along well with other dogs, so I wouldn't mind having a buddy... but l'd be just as happy being your main guy.

Now, I do have a couple opinions. Cats? Not really my thing. Little kids? I love them, I just sometimes forget how big I am when I get excited. It happens. I'm working on it but elementary age kids and up might be best.

What I'm really looking for is a home where I get to be part of the family. A yard is a must -so l have things to supervise - and humans who enjoy having a loyal, smart, slightly goofy German Shepherd by their side.
Preferably something that involves a couch, some belly rubs, and a person who thinks I'm the best decision they ever made.”

Our application to adopt can be easily found at www.jackjackspack.org

Once your application has been approved one of our team members will contact you to set up a phone interview and meet/greet. We select the best applicant for each animal based on each individual animal.
