Freddy's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Freddy gave up one night and curled up on the driveway of a kind couple in Long Beach. Having had and loved dogs, they took him in and made him safe. Their circumstances didn't allow them to keep him permanently, so they posted him on "found dogs" sites, to no avail. We saw him and decided to help him find his forever.

He's a real sweetheart: friendly, happy, easygoing ... he loves people and bonds quickly with them. He's happy to hang with other dogs but equally happy to just hang with his person or people. He needs a little help in the house-training department (being on the streets for a while will do that, as will not being neutered, although that will soon be rectified. He's crate-trained, so that isn't too difficult to accomplish, and we're happy to help.)

Freddy loves walks, sniffing the roses -- and anything else that comes his way -- and we're pretty sure hanging on the couch or your bed while you read or stream. He will need a secure fenced yard, as we think wanderlust is what led him astray (there's that unneutered thing again). He could also use a little training with leash walking, and we're happy to help with that, too.

Who can resist that face? Freddy would love to meet you and see if you can be friends. While we want him to have a fenced yard, we also insist that he be an indoor dog who is very much a part of the family.

Most receive basic training and, if needed, advanced training (and our Adoption Counselor, Maryanne, is always willing to work with you on issues that might arise once you adopt).
