VIP: Freddie is so cute! He is a playful pup who is about 14 months of age. He loves being part of the shelters Pups in the Park group where he and other dogs get to go for a group walk in area parks. The volunteers said that Freddie is a great Pups buddy! He is very patient getting harnessed and is a lap buddy while waiting on the other dogs to get ready. Freddie is a great passenger in the car and enjoys the back seat. He gets along well with all of the dogs in the group and walks well on a leash. He loves to check out all the benches along the walk and enjoys taking a seat on a bench for a quick break. He also likes to pause to check on his walker and make sure everything is good to go! He knows the commands sit and stay and loves head scratches and belly rubs. He is a great pupper with a goofy energy! <br/><br/>Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done. <br/>Adoptions are first come first serve, and no appointment or application is needed. Plano Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Adoptions are first come first serve. There is no application. Anyone over 18 years of age is eligible to adopt provided that they meet the adoption criteria for that specific animal. Criteria can range from having basic knowledge of the animal’s species or breed, having an established veterinary history, not having young children, the animal being legal to own in the city they live in, the breed they’re interested in being accepted at their apartments, etc. If a potential adopter doesn’t meet the criteria in place for that animal, they will be encouraged to look at other animals that may not have those restrictions in place. The criteria must also be met in order to visit with an animal.
