Freddie's Story
MEET FREDDIE... a.k.a. SCOOBY!

Freddy is his official name, but Scooby is what he tends to answer to—and honestly, it fits him. This sweet boy is about as close to the perfect puppy as you can get.

Scooby is an incredibly mild-mannered, easygoing guy who takes his naps very seriously. When he's awake, he's just as happy playing with his humans as he is entertaining himself. He's affectionate without being demanding and has quickly figured out how to just be part of the family.

Now, we do need to discuss his criminal record. Stuffed animals are NOT safe in his presence. Stuffies will be destroyed, and Scooby feels absolutely no remorse. Bones, however, are his prized possessions. He carefully gathers them up and moves them into his crate—or into a designated corner of the living room—because apparently every home needs a secure bone-storage facility.

And this boy has some seriously impressive house manners. In the week we've had him, he has not had a SINGLE accident in the house. He's even had to be crated for about seven hours twice and handled it like a champ—no accidents and no drama.

Here's another shocker: Scooby refuses to get on the furniture. We have actually tried to convince him that couches are wonderful, but apparently he has standards and prefers to remain a respectable gentleman on the floor.

He LOVES kids.
He LOVES other dogs.
He has even adjusted to the resident bird flying around the house and seems to have decided that's perfectly normal.

Scooby is still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. The leash makes him nervous, and loud noises can still make him jump. But in just one week, we've watched his confidence grow tremendously. He has mastered the stairs, is learning to trust, and gets a little braver every single day.

What Scooby needs now is a family who will continue showing him that he is safe, loved, and home for good.

He's sweet. He's gentle. He's funny. He's house-trained. He's kid- and dog-approved. He doesn't steal your spot on the couch...and he comes with his own bone-organizing system.

Seriously, what more could you ask for?

Scooby is ready for his next adventure—and this time, he deserves for it to be forever.
