Frannie's Story

Frannie is a 2-year-old, 10-pound Yorkie who was found as a stray but is quickly figuring out just how great life in a home can be. I’m fairly certain half of her weight is in her adorably oversized ears—they’re impossible to miss and somehow make her even cuter. Frannie is a total people dog and has decided her life’s mission is to be as close to you as physically possible. She’ll happily follow you from room to room, supervise all your daily activities, and then reward you by curling up in your lap at every opportunity. She gets along well with other dogs and has tried her best to convince her foster parent’s older dog to play. When she’s not being your shadow, she loves zooming around outside to show off her speed or playing with her stuffed toys.

Frannie is still working on her potty training, but she’s already shown great progress—especially when the weather cooperates. She’s not a fan of the cold or snow (who can blame her?), but now that spring is here, she does much better getting outside. With a consistent schedule and routine, she’s set up for success and should continue improving quickly. Like many dogs coming from a stray background, she’s learning the structure of home life and is doing a really nice job adjusting.

Frannie would be an amazing fit for someone looking for a loyal little sidekick. If you’ve ever wanted a tiny best friend who doubles as your shadow, your lap warmer, and your biggest fan, she’s your girl. She’s sweet, affectionate, and full of personality—and she’s more than ready to find a forever home where she can keep living her best (and coziest) life. Bonus: she’s also a big fan of a good pup cup from Starbucks, which might just become your new favorite shared routine.
