He came to TCHS as a stray. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal into the home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. <br/><br/>Franklin is very energetic and loving. His favorite things to do are run around and play with a ball - in fact, he's often carrying that ball around! In his foster home, he's doing great with the resident dog. He has frequent access to the outside, so he's had one only accident in the foster home. He sleeps through the night and does well being kenneled. <br/><br/>Franklin enjoys just hanging out and cuddling; his foster home says he's not super active. He eats food very quickly, so he uses a Kong slow feeder in his foster home. His foster highly recommends a slower feeder for his next home! <br/><br/>*Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee.<br/><br/>** Adoption Ambassador (AA) animals are available for adoption but reside in a TCHS foster home instead of the shelter. Meet-and-greets are scheduled in a first-come, first-served manner. Adoption holds are NOT accepted on AA animals unless the potential adopter has already met the animal. If you are interested in meeting this AA pet, meet-and-greets may be scheduled by calling 320-252-0896.<br/><br/>**Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
