Frankie SAT's Story

Frankie is a big guy with double dews and a perfectly Pyr-y personality. His coat gets better every day and he is just happy to hang out with you or play with some friends. This is seriously a GREAT dog.<br/>Frankie came to us after being attacked by a pack of something. I have never seen so MANY injuries on one dog before. He is such a gentle sweetheart, it doesn't surprise me that he obviously didn't fight back. When he was at the vet, he was walking around to everyone's stations and visiting like he worked there, lol. I could hear them talking about him from the exam room- this is the sweetest boy! Oh I love him, do you want to help, Frankie?<br/>Frankie is being fostered with a big happy pack- Frankie is just a happy guyHis foster also rescues cats, and (no surprise) he's great with them too! He has recently learned to sleep on the bed and just lays his big head on foster mom shoulders and falls asleep. He also went to the river recently and LOVED it!

Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

In processing an application, we contact veterinarians to verify that all current pets are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered. Dogs should be current on heartworm testing and taking a monthly heartworm preventative. Please let your vet know that we will be calling as they sometimes require your permission to provide the needed information. We will also be contacting personal references. Please let them know that we will be calling so they are not taken by surprise. If you rent your home or apartment, please alert your landlord that we will be calling to make sure large dogs are allowed there. When all references have been checked, we will then schedule a house check. This is where one of our volunteers will visit your home to meet you in person and to see the environment you will be providing. Once your application is approved, you are invited to meet any of our available dogs and to speak with any of our fosters about a particular dog.
