Frankie's Story

Frankie is an incredibly sweet and special mixed breed with an approximate DOB of 12/1/2016. He's a short but stocky black brindle about 55 lbs. He absolutely loves people he meets, especially once he gets to know them a bit. That's when he becomes a real lover and a cuddlebug!

Frankie has been with us since November of 2022. That much time at the kennels understandably began to effect him mentally and his reactivity toward his kennel mates began to grow. Luckily, our friends at The Evolved K9 kindly took him in to foster care and Frankie began working hard to better himself with their help!

Frankie is still the wonderfully loving dog he always was, and now is so much calmer outside of the kennel environment. He has been working hard on his reactivity and has been able to curb his behavior toward other dogs and can now enjoy walks with his new doggie friends. He does well with calm dogs and is quite confident now in his meet and greets with them as long as he has a slow and appropriate introduction! He likes manners. He is really good with cats and enjoys their company! We do not know how he is with farm animals. Frankie may not do well with younger kids around. Its possible that the noise and commotion may be too overstimulating for him. An adult only home or one with a calm environment will work best for Frankie. He is great on leash and knows several commands that our trainers will work with you to learn (Sit, Place, Heel, Come, Down, and Stay)...to make your life with Frankie the best it can be! An added plus, Frankie is completely house trained. In addition to everything WAG includes in their adoption fee - neuter, microchip, up to date on shots, deworming, heartworm testing/treatment, and heartworm/flea and tick prevention - Frankie will ALSO come with 3 complimentary training sessions to his new adopter(s), courtesy of The Evolved K9!!!! This is to ensure success for you and for Frankie going forward in your home! We want nothing but the very best for you and Frankie! We know that Frankie deserves the very perfect forever home and will bring love, laughter and wonderful memories to his perfect family. We know you are out there!
If you're interested in meeting Frankie please get in contact with us today via Facebook, IM or call us at 352-528-9888. We will get you in touch with his foster family (The trainers at The Evolved K9) so that they can set up a meet and greet appointment with Frankie! We know you'll love him!
