Frankie's Story

Frankie is a female, black tri who will be 3 years old in May. She has been raised in our home since 10 weeks old, with other dogs, a cat, and lots of love and attention. She is a AKC & CKC registered Miniature American Shepherd with CKC points. Frankie is microchipped, and UTD on all vaccinations. She has a lifetime of in-home training through BarkBusters.com that can be transferred to the new family.

Frankie is crate trained, but she roams the house freely when we are out for a few hours and can sleep overnight without a crate. She is good on a leash, loves to play fetch and engage with her own humans whether through toys or cuddles #alldaybellyrubs are what she dreams of She is starting agility training and loves to figure new things out as she is very smart and medium energy.

While Frankie loves her humans, she is very shy around new humans and new dogs. She will not approach them and will bark at them. Giving regular visitors treats to give Frankie is a great way to warm her up. Once Frankie had her litter of puppies, she became aggressive with some members of her dog pack, particularly the other females. Which may subside now that she is spayed but may not. This did not extend to stranger dogs she meets on her walk. Hence a family familiar with the breed, where she is the only dog would bring out the best in her. If you want a velcro dog to interact with, take on walks, perhaps get into some agility or scent detection, Frankie will love you forever.

Located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
