Frankie's Story
Meet Frankie!

Frankie is a 5-year-old, 16-pound Lhasa Apso with a white/cream coat and a heart that’s even bigger than his personality. He arrived in Dogworks foster care after being found as a stray—mangled, hungry, and in need of help. Thanks to love and care, Frankie has made an incredible comeback and is now ready to find a forever home of his own.

Don’t let his age fool you—Frankie still acts like a playful puppy! He’s happy, energetic, affectionate, and full of life. He loves playing fetch, going for walks, riding in the car, and curling up with you to cuddle or sleep in bed. Once Frankie bonds with you, he’s incredibly loyal and loves to stay close.

Frankie can be a bit skittish when meeting new people, but once he warms up, he becomes very attached. He’s great with cats and does well with other dogs as long as they’re laid-back. He adores older kids and currently lives happily with a teenager, but a home without young children would be best due to his energy and playful mouthing.

An ideal home for Frankie would have a fully fenced yard with no escape routes, as he’s an expert squirrel chaser and will look for exits. He’s active throughout the day and needs regular playtime and attention to keep his energy in check. Frankie is potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, and knows several commands including sit, stay, come, leave it, drop it, and no. He responds to verbal correction (even if he sulks a little afterward).

Frankie does have a few fears—loud noises, plastic bags, and the vacuum—but when scared, he’ll either try to hide or seek comfort with cuddles. Overall, he’s a sweet, funny, loving little guy who thrives on companionship and affection.

If you’re looking for a playful, cuddly, loyal companion who will keep you laughing and always by your side, Frankie may be the perfect match for you.

He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

His adoption fee is $350

Please follow the link below for his adoption application.
