Frankie's Story

Meet Frankie, an approximately 18-month-old, 50 lb charmer who appears to be a wolfhound mix. This adorable young boy has been cherished by a loving family since puppyhood. As he matured, he and his male canine brother have discovered they would each be happier living separate lives. After thoughtful consideration, Frankie's family has made the heartfelt decision to find him a home where he can be the one and only pampered pooch—or share his space with a well-balanced, dog-friendly female companion.

Frankie recently completed a group training class where he proved he's not just a pretty face—he's smart and has some obedience skills under his paws. While he can be fearful and anxious around strangers, especially children, the right patient, adult-only home will help him flourish. Frankie is seeking an adopter who understands that trust takes time—no forced interactions, just space to check things out, positive reinforcement with yummy treats, and the freedom to approach folks on his own terms. Slow, managed introductions to visitors will build confidence and help him learn to trust on his own time.

Once Frankie bonds with his people and feels safe, his true personality shines through: he's affectionate, snuggly, and an absolute sucker for belly rubs. If you are an active, adult-only household looking for a young, playful adventure buddy, Frankie would love to join you on long walks, play outdoor games, hiking trips, or even errands around town.

Are you ready to give this sweet boy the patient, loving home he deserves?
