Frank's Story

This dapper gentleman has been named Frank! He was found sadly wandering around the streets, showing signs of being abandoned including smelling like tires… he has no microchip & an owner never came forward. Frank is now in foster care, he's been neutered, vaccinated, and started on heartworm prevention, and we're taking applications for adoption!

Age is a rough estimate with this guy. We want to say 3-4yrs old. He doesn’t show signs of graying which would be typical for an "older" dog, 5-7yrs old would normally start showing gray. Yet he seems to have some visual impairment. Poor eyesight does not necessarily indicate an old dog! Nor does teeth tarter (tarter can be especially bad with small dogs & even become a grade 3 in young adults) So Frank is believed to be a mid age adult & the vet agreed that he doesn't seem "old". He has a moderate energy level & is quite playful. The visual impairment could’ve been from previous eye infections that weren't treated, or even poor genetics that caused early vision loss! The vet said he is not blind, there are no cataracts, and no treatment is needed at this time.

Frank gets along well with the other dogs! He’s a very friendly, easy going fella. Walks well on a leash. Hasnt been having potty accidents inside (although rescue dogs may need some guidance when you bring them to their new home so they catch on to where they can & cannot potty). We have not tested him behaviorally with cats or small children, but he is very social with other dogs big & small. His adoption fee will be $350 to go towards vet & care costs.
