Frank's Story

Frank has quietly captured all of our hearts. This 3-year-old Treeing Coonhound has soulful eyes and a gentle spirit, and he’s ready for a brighter chapter ahead.

He can be a little timid and unsure when first meeting new people or experiencing new things, but with kindness, patience, and reassurance, Frank is already beginning to show his sweet, affectionate side. For the right adopter, earning his trust will be incredibly rewarding.

When Frank arrived, he was underweight and is now enjoying two to three meals a day of puppy food to help him regain strength. He’s already looking and feeling so much better, and it’s been wonderful to see his confidence grow along with his health.

You may notice Frank has cherry eye. UPAWS has a veterinary appointment scheduled next week to have his eye checked, and we will make sure his eye is taken care of if treatment is recommended.

True to his hound roots, Frank enjoys sniffing, exploring, and taking in the world at his own pace. He would do best in a calm, patient home with someone who understands that the best bonds are built slowly — and last a lifetime.

Frank is ready for a loving home where he can continue to heal, gain confidence, and be cherished for the gentle, loyal companion he is.
