Francis Ford Coppola has been waiting years.<br/><br/>Francis came to us from a large hoarding case in September 2021 involving more than 50 dogs. Today, this sweet little guy is nearly 8 years old and weighs about 12 pounds.<br/><br/>He's spent most of his time with the same loving foster family, where he's learned that life can be safe and predictable. Francis is shy with new people and takes time to build trust, but once he feels comfortable, he's a gentle companion who simply wants a quiet place to belong.<br/><br/>He gets along well with other dogs and would do best in a patient home that understands he won't be the dog greeting strangers at the front door. He's the dog who quietly sits beside you after you've earned his trust.<br/><br/>Francis doesn't need much. He can be playful but takes time to warm up. He can be a great couch potato to watch your favorite movie with you but takes time to warm up. <br/><br/>He came from a really bad hoarding situation and had no human interaction or direct human contact for probably the first part of his life (guessing he might have been a year old by the time I got him) so it takes him a long time to trust strangers; but it can be done!<br/><br/>He needs a VERY patient new family. Probably wouldn't be good with little kids or a super busy household (too scary and too loud). He gets along nicely with my other dogs (proper introductions are an absolute must). I don't know how he would be as an only dog... if his new mom/dad was home most of the time and spent a lot of time with him, he might be ok.<br/><br/>If you or someone you know might like to hear more about him... please reach out to me!!
