Francis's Story

Meet Francis! This 6-year-old Aussie mix is looking for his forever home. Francis found his way to the LASPCA after his owner passed away.

He can be a little wary of new people at first, but he is quick to open up, especially if you engage in playtime with him. Don't let his age fool you, Francis still has a spring in his step and energy to spare.
Francis seems to do well with other dogs and kids, and would thrive in a home where he can take his time to decompress and fall back into a daily routine. Give him some patience, and you'll have a new best friend in no time!

Francis does enjoy participating in typical Aussie behaviors, such as herding you around the yard or chasing feet. For this reason, we would like to see him go to a working breed/herding breed savvy home.

Thinking about adding Francis to your family? Give us a shout!
Francis is available for adoption at the Plaquemines Campus at 455 F. Edward Hebert Blvd in Belle Chasse. We are open Tuesday-Saturday 10-5. For any questions, please call 504-934-6931 or email plaqueminescampus@laspca.org.
