Francis's Story

Meet Francis: French, Fabulous, and Fiercely... Selective.
Bonjour! My name is Francis, but my close friends call me “Sir Francis No-Kids.”
I’m a 5-year-old French Bulldog with a face you’d gladly pay to kiss and a personality as rich and complex as a bottle of fine Bordeaux. I'm leash-savvy, fetch-obsessed, apartment OR backyard adaptable, and I’ll show off my impressive repertoire of tricks for treats and compliments (sit, stay, paw, both paws, drop it... I mean, come on. I'm trained trained).

But before you fall too hard for this snorty little love loaf, here's the deal...
I do not do children. Nope. Not tiny ones, not crawling ones, not even ones just visiting. Kids stress me out like a vacuum cleaner in a thunderstorm. I’ve tried. I’ve really tried. But after two homes and a couple of scary incidents, we’ve learned: I thrive in a kid-free kingdom. Forever.

I would do best in a home without other animals and prefer to be an only child though as I have problems with sharing my space/food/toys/bowls etc.

I’m sweet, snuggly, and hilariously expressive. I love my humans and my ball like it’s my job. I’ll follow you around like a fuzzy shadow and demand belly rubs like a royal decree.
I’m also very adaptable on walks - I can go for an hour + or I’ll be happy with just 10-15 minutes of playtime and spending the rest of the day on the couch!
I’ve gone through serious training. I'm not aggressive — just reactive, with big emotions in a small, squishy body. I can get overstimulated and do a little chomp on your foot if I’m anxious, but I’m working on it! I promise I’m not trying to start a fight — I’m just... very Frenchie.
I’m also a gourmet eater with a refined palate and can only eat kangaroo based kibble (read: allergies). My current diet keeps me healthy and handsome, so please stick with it — no croissants, s’il vous plaît.
I take Vanectyl every other day for my allergies — easy peasy.
________________________________________
Ideal Match:
• Experienced dog person (bonus points if you're fluent in Frenchie).
• Zero kids now or ever.
• Chill vibe home, minimal chaos.
• Respect for personal space (mine).
• Only animal in the household
• Understands that a cute face doesn’t always mean easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Francis is vaccinated, microchipped, has his flea, tick & heartworm prevention, is sterilized and will come with his medical booklet.
Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months! We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things!
