She was found on a rainy night in the Sacramento area by a Good Samaritan and brought to the local shelter, where her journey with us began. <br/><br/>She arrived with a rectal prolapse that required surgery, and soon after we discovered she also had an ectopic ureter causing constant urine leakage. After extensive testing, cultures, and specialized surgery at UC Davis, this brave little girl finally got the medical help she needed.<br/><br/>Despite everything she’s been through, Francine’s spirit has never dimmed. She is pure sweetness—a happy, cuddly, affectionate girl who loves being curled up on the couch or snuggled right next to you in bed (her favorite place!). She gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets, including people, dogs, and cats.<br/><br/>Francine currently eats RC Urinary S/O, a prescription diet on which she has truly thrived. We do recommend she remain on this food long-term to support her continued health.<br/><br/>She is potty trained and crate trained, though she’ll always choose being close to her human if she has the option. To know her is to love her—and trust us, she has become a favorite here in Rescue.
