Francesca's Story

Meet Francesca — A Little Lady Ready for Her Big Adventure!

At around 10 weeks old, Francesca is a Lab/Border Collie who's ready to trade her rough beginnings for a lifetime of love, belly rubs, and family adventures!

Francesca and her six siblings, along with their mama, were owner-surrendered to a very high-kill shelter here in South Texas. This shelter provides no medical care, and owner-surrendered dogs are at risk of euthanasia as soon as the following day. Their little family was facing a heartbreaking fate, so we stepped in and busted them out of their prison cell before it was too late! Now Francesca gets the chance to grow up safe, loved, and surrounded by people who know her life is worth saving.

At just 10 weeks old, Francesca has her whole life ahead of her! She's at the perfect age to learn about the world, build a bond with her humans, and develop into the wonderful companion she's meant to be. Her future family should be prepared for all the joys of puppyhood, including training, socialization, patience, and plenty of opportunities to learn and explore.

We're still getting to know Francesca's individual personality, but one thing is certain: she deserves a family who will help her blossom and never make her wonder if she's wanted. Just imagine all the memories waiting to be made — from puppy playtime and backyard adventures to lazy afternoons curled up with her favorite people.

MARYLAND, HERE SHE COMES! Francesca is scheduled to leave Texas on October 22nd and is expected to arrive in Maryland that weekend! She'll be available for adoption, so East Coast adopters have the chance to welcome this sweet girl into their family on this upcoming transport.

Currently fostered in Brownsville, Texas.

Sanctuary Park Rescue's Adoption Policy
All potential adopters are required to complete a detailed adoption application. Applications are reviewed to ensure the dog is a good match for the adopter’s lifestyle, experience level, home environment, and other pets. We conduct reference checks, including veterinary references (if applicable), and verify that current and past pets are up to date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. Landlord approval is required for renters. A home check (virtual or in-person) may be conducted when appropriate. Adopters must agree to provide proper veterinary care, keep the dog as an indoor companion, maintain heartworm prevention, and return the dog to Sanctuary Park Rescue if they are ever unable to keep the animal. All adoptions require a signed adoption contract and an adoption fee to help offset medical expenses. Our goal is to ensure safe, responsible, and permanent placements that prioritize the long-term wellbeing of each dog.
