Fozzy

He is active, playful, social, and very much a puppy who is ready to learn!

Fozzy loves other dogs and previously lived with a much larger 9-month-old puppy. In his foster home, he has also shown that he is respectful of the older dogs. When they let him know he has crossed a boundary, he listens and backs off, an important skill for a young pup learning his manners.

He is doing very well with potty training when kept on a regular schedule.

We suspect Fozzy may have been carried around quite a bit in his previous home, because his first instinct is often to jump up and ask to be picked up. His foster family is working on the OFF command and teaching him that four paws on the floor get attention, too.

Like most puppies his age, Fozzy is busy, energetic and curious. He still uses his mouth during play, so we are working on redirecting those puppy play bites to appropriate toys. He will need a family prepared to continue his training and give him plenty of appropriate outlets for his puppy energy.

With his fluffy, doodle-type coat, Fozzy will also require regular brushing and professional grooming throughout his life. His adopter should be prepared for the time and ongoing expense needed to keep his coat healthy and free of mats.

Fozzy has received his second DHPP puppy booster and is ready to begin the next chapter with his new family. Until he receives his final puppy booster, expected around mid October, his adopter will need to keep him out of public areas where unvaccinated dogs may have been and limit his canine friends to healthy, fully vaccinated dogs.

Because of his age, Fozzy will still need to complete his remaining veterinary care, including his final puppy vaccination, rabies vaccination, neuter and microchip at the appropriate ages.

Fozzy is a fun little guy with lots of puppy enthusiasm and so much potential. With continued training, consistency, exercise and plenty of love, we think he is going to grow into a wonderful companion.

Adoption donation $450.

Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet.
