Foxy (Portland, OR)'s Story

Meet Foxy, a cuddle bug, goofball & champion people-watcher. Foxy is about 5 months old, 18 lbs and one seriously lovable little puppy. Her Embark results revealed she’s 67% Australian Cattle Dog, 10% Pug, 8% Shih Tzu and 14% Supermutt, which apparently is the recipe for one exceptionally cute dog.

Foxy came into rescue as a stray and is discovering that life as a beloved house dog is pretty great. She’s a sweet, cuddly, goofy velcro girl who absolutely adores her people. She’s a wonderful mix of playful and chill. Foxy will happily romp and play, then settle in for a nap or stretch out in the yard and quietly watch the world go by. She's a more thoughtful observer than a nonstop puppy tornado.

A little more about Foxy:
- Medium energy with a great play-to-relax ratio
- Super affectionate and loves being close to her people
- Enjoys friendly, easygoing dogs
- Sleeps beautifully overnight in her crate
- Working on daytime crate training
- Learning her house-training routine
- Cats and kids: not yet tested
- Cautious when first meeting someone, but give her a little time and her sweet, silly personality comes shining through

Because Foxy’s first few months were spent as a stray, she’s still learning some of the everyday routines of being a family dog. She’s smart, young, and eager to figure it all out, and every day she’s getting a little more confident. Foxy would love a family that will continue showing her how much fun this new life can be. In return, you’ll get a devoted little sidekick who’s equally happy playing with you, cuddling beside you, or supervising the neighborhood from her favorite spot in the yard. Foxy may be learning how to be a family dog, but she’s already mastered the most important part: loving her people.

Foxy is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her core vaccines. She is being fostered in Portland, Oregon.

Adoption Process:
- Adoption Application
- Phone Conversation
- Meet & Greet
- Home Visit
- Application Approval
- Adoption Fee & Contract ($490)

Our adoption application is available at pnwcdr.org/adopt
