Meet Fosters needed to save a life

Please consider fostering an Alaskan Malamute for our rescue. You save the life of the dog that you foster for us, and also the life of the next dog that fills the space where that dog was. Our primary goal is to find fur-ever loving homes for as many Malamutes as possible.

If you are interested in adopting, please email MalRescueDE@gmail.com for an application. Once your application is processed, a home visit is required. There is an adoption fee of $350 for each adult dog. Our dogs are healthy, spayed or neutered, up to date on shots, and heartworm negative.

Unfortunately rescues don't have the ability to hold dogs for adopters. Dogs are adopted to approved adopters on a first come, first serve basis. Our goal is to get a dog adopted to a forever home so that we can then help another one. If you are interested in one of our dogs, the first step is to request an application, which is typically sent to you the same day you have emailed your request. We process your application the day it is received. The next step is a home visit, and then you will be invited to meet the dogs. While we represent the State of Delaware, AMROD’s dogs are fostered in west-central Virginia. Contact preference is by email, malrescuede@gmail.com, rather than by phone. We appreciate you considering an AMROD dog!
