However, she does not appear comfortable around other dogs and would do best as the only pet in the household. In the right home where she can receive plenty of attention from her people, Violety has great potential to be a loving companion.<br/>Assessment from the Animal Attendant:<br/>Violety shows calm, normal behavior and listens to commands. Staff report that she responds well to structure and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement and training. She has the potential to become a wonderful family companion.

Trenton Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
Anyone interested in fostering or adopting a dog from The Trenton Animal Shelter must complete an application. All applications for foster or adoption will be screened for suitability and must include personal and veterinarian references. Once approved, a representative from the shelter will contact the applicant and set up a meeting with the animal. All other animals in the household and family members must participate in a “meet and greet” with the desired animal in order to confirm suitability. Adoptions are finalized with a contract releasing the animal to the adopter(s). The shelter does not allow return of adopted animals, with the exception of Trenton residents, who may re-release their animal to the shelter. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable.
