Foster's Story

Are you looking for a short king to welcome into your life? If so, then come on in and meet Foster because you may have found your perfect match! Meet Foster, Foster, the 32.5 pound, 3 year old male Basset Hound mix looking for his forever home. Foster here is the cutest and goofiest pup you'll ever meet! He loves making friends with everyone he meets and getting all the snuggles possible. His favorite hobbies include going for walks, playing with other dogs, running zoomies, playing with toys, engaging in fetch, and cuddling his people. The humans here describe Foster as handsome, silly, playful, energetic, loving, alert, and best of all... fantastic! Foster does have some food aggression issues and will need to find a home with someone who understands that he will either need to be left alone or crated when eating. He will sometimes be a little possessive over his toys as well. Other than that, Foster is such a lover boy and absolutely loves belly rubs and getting pets! In terms of potty training, Foster is a good boy and holds it until he goes outside. Foster will be available for adoption during our Open Adoption Hours, Friday through Sunday, 11am to 4pm. No appointments taken. Walk in only. Please see our Adoption FAQs link below for information on our adoption process. Thank you! https://hslwr.org/adoption-faqs.

Foster did receive 3 weeks of professional training at a board and train facility to work on his resource guarding issues. When he is adopted, you will be provided with free training sessions with this trainer so you and Foster can be set up for success.
