Forrest 's Story
Meet Forrest! This stunning boy came to us from the Calhoun Shelter. He was a stray and not reclaimed. He was not chipped or neutered and he is heartworm positive and he will be treated by the rescue. For this reason he must be adopted locally. Forrest is 2/3 years old we guess and about 50lbs. He appears to be a doodle of some sort.
Forrest came to us quite matted and with some dreadlocks. I sent his pic to Lori with Molly N’ Me and she immediately replied and told me she would come in on her day off to clean this guy up!
Forrest did great for his first groom! Thank you Lori- Forrest looks amazing!
Forrest has done well so far in foster, he has only been with us a few days. He rides well in the car, house training in progress and he does well with the majority of the pack. He was a bit overwhelmed with a smaller, high energy and anxious dog here but fine with all others. Forrest definitely is a people dog, he would rather hand with humans than with the dog pack. He watches everyone play but has yet to be involved. He may have never had the opportunity to be part of a pack. Forrest is very chill, easy going and would likely do great as an only dog. Every day he becomes more comfortable here. He is doing well with crate training and has mastered the dog door. He walks well on leash but does get nervous as cars go by.
We are looking for a laid back home for this fella. We have prefer a home with no other dogs or a calm dog his size. As of now he has not played with the others but loves to be with people. Forrest with benefit from continued socialization once settled in his home. He will need regular professional grooming and we do not promise hypoallergenic or anything about shedding.
🐾🩵We are excited to find the perfect match for this sweet fella! Thank you again to Lori for cleaning up Forrest and helping us get him ready for his furever!

Forrest has been vaccinated, neutered and chipped.
He is heartworm positive and the method of treatment will be discussed post adoption and with our veterinarian.
Adoption Fee: $595

Adoptions take place on Saturday -
Please only apply when you are able to potentially meet this Saturday- applications are not held for a later date

https://form.jotform.com/250175174725154
