Forky is an estimated 3-5 year-old Lab mix with a heart that is way bigger than his already-big body. From the moment he decides you’re his person, personal space becomes a very loose suggestion. Couch? Lap? Bathroom? Forks would like to be included in everything, preferably touching you just to be sure you’re still there. When Forky first arrived at the shelter, he carried a scar on the back of his neck — a quiet reminder that life hadn’t always been gentle with him. But after a little time to decompress and feel safe, his true self came bursting out: silly, affectionate, playful, and overflowing with love. He’s the kind of dog who makes you laugh daily with his clumsy enthusiasm and happy-dog energy. Forky is exceptionally affectionate and a little bit needy in the most endearing way. He lives for attention, cuddles, praise, and being close to his people. He also desperately wants an active dog friend who loves to wrestle, chase, and play hard for long stretches of time.
