Forest's Story
This handsome, spotted boy is Forest! Believed to be a Great Dane mix, Forest is around 2 years old and truly a gentle giant. When he first came into rescue, he weighed just 37 lbs—but after gaining much-needed weight and strength, he’s been able to fully enjoy life and show off his goofy, quirky, and incredibly loving personality. He is a big boy, and photos truly don’t do justice to how tall he is!

Forest was given his name with the hope that one day he’d be strong enough to run freely on his long, wobbly legs—and we’re so happy to say that dream came true. Today, Forest is healthy, happy, and absolutely loves to run. Whether he’s alone or with other dogs, he’ll happily do the cutest “hot laps” around the yard. He enjoys walks, does well on leash, and is a big fan of toys. Forest is a wonderful middle-energy dog—equally playful and silly, but also calm, cuddly, and content to relax with his people.

Forest does well with dogs and cats and has a special fondness for women. He can be a bit wary of new men at first, but with slow, proper introductions, he becomes comfortable and trusting. Because he came to rescue so underweight, he is still fed separately to avoid any food-related stress. He’s a smart boy who learns quickly, responds well to structure, and thrives on routine. In new environments, Forest may need a little time to adjust, as he can be nervous at first—but after a few days, he settles in beautifully.

Forest does great in a crate, is potty trained, and does best with consistency. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and current on vaccines.

Forest has overcome so much and has blossomed into an affectionate, goofy, lovable companion. He’s ready for a forever home that will love him as unconditionally as he loves in return. 💚

Adoption Application:

https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/40532/generic
