Forest's Story

Meet Forest! Forest is an 8-year-old sweetheart with a wonderful mix of energy and calm. He loves getting out for walks and does well on leash. Forest can get pretty interested in small critters along the way and with a steady handler, he’ll explore right by your side. He’s especially curious about cats, so he’ll do best in a cat-free home.

Forest loves relaxing near his people, scratching his back in the grass, soaking up sunshine, playing with his toys, and finishing the day with some good snuggle time. Bonus is that he is totally ok being left home alone and doesn't get into anything.

Forest would make a loyal, loving companion for a person or family and if there's children in the home, he would do best with older kids, since he loves toys! He’s ready to share his big heart with someone special.

He doesn’t bark at the neighbor dogs and has never shown reactivity when out on walks, or at events. Even at the shelter, he was neutral unless a neighbor was extremely reactive walking by his Kennel. Forest would probably be OK with a low energy, neutral dog. .

If you're interested in meeting Forest, he is fostered in Suisun (Solano County) and is available for adoption through Placer County. You can contact his foster mom Peggie at phartig14@gmail.com or Placer County Animal Services: (530) 886-5541

Here are some additional videos:

https://www.facebook.com/reel/1354696349740405/
https://www.facebook.com/reel/1263913392304072/
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTGX0c4DvO7/
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DR0iSM4CROO/
