PLEASE COME SEE FLYNN.<br/>Flynn's been at the shelter for more than 65 days, and he hasn't had a single visitor. <br/>That's heartbreaking because this gentle 3-year-old mix has worked so hard to overcome a terrible start.<br/>We recently took Flynn to a shy-dog class hosted by trainer Adam Claar, and we watched something remarkable happen.<br/>Flynn was hesitant to enter the training area, but a few treats persuaded him that the doorway wasn't a portal to doom. <br/>Once inside, he completely lit up.<br/>The dog who initially cowered in the corner began approaching people for ear scratches and belly rubs. Then he started playing with the other dogs -- gleefully! Flynn's usual default had been the "if I can't see you, you can't see me" move toddlers are famous for, but this time, he lept into the spotlight! He even completed a confidence exercise by knocking over a Solo cup to retrieve a cookie. That may not sound like a major achievement, but for Flynn, it was approximately the emotional equivalent of planting a flag on the moon.<br/>Flynn came to us from a very bad situation in which his owner faced surrendering him or possible cruelty charges. When he arrived, he was frightened, shut down, and constantly cowering.<br/>Now he's playful, affectionate, gentle, and eager to connect. He especially adores other dogs and becomes visibly happier whenever he sees a friendly one.<br/>Flynn has already shown us how brave he can be. Now he needs someone to show him that all his hard work was worth it.<br/>Please come meet Flynn, and please share his story.
