Fluff's Story
Update 2/26: Fluff is currently preparing for major orthopedic surgery and will not be available for adoption in the near future. Her prospects are good, however, to be an active and healthy pet following the recovery period.

My name is Fluffy (short for Fluffy Puppy). My foster mom says that when I am a big girl herding dog I can be called Fluff. She says she calls me that because I am such a cute ball of fluff with my heavy border collie coat.

I got lost or was evicted from somewhere out in the country and was picked up by strangers who kept me in a horse stall for three days before deciding to take me to the pound which is not a lucky place for dogs. However, the girl that works for my mom's horse trainer got her from those folks and had me scanned for a microchip whatever that is (something they say I don't have), and the horse trainer lady was going to keep me until I chased her husband's polo pony, so they called my foster mom since she understands herding instinct and has three other herding dogs and is getting sheep this month.

I am getting along great with my foster mom's pack, well, that is for old crotchety Dollie, but Aunts Poppy and Petunia, and Uncle Bob are all teaching me herding games, and are very nice. I would like to have my own home, maybe that I don't have to share. But I will need a lot of exercise and lots of training as I don't have much of an education. I really like water, so if it's not too much, my own pool would be nice; I have to share Aunt Poppy's for now. My foster mom will be putting me on sheep soon and will be teaching me something called obedience. She is also taking me to the vet soon for shots and heartworm prevention. I am just a big baby (6-8 months old)and want to love and be loved by someone special. If you can provide me with that, my foster mom says that I can go with you.

Contact my foster mom Donna at (803) 649 0238 or donnabrooks@mindspring.com
