Floyd's Story

You can't Pink of a better dog than Floyd!

I'm a sweet boy with a whole lot of curiosity and a whole lot of cuddles. I love to explore, learn, and be around people! If I roll over for you to rub my belly, it means you've won my heart. I'm great on leash and love walks and sniffing around. I can find a treat from a mile away with just my nose! I like to learn new tricks and I am very eager to please. Playing fetch is really fun, except the part where I have to give the ball back.

General Socialization Notes:
I am house trained and I love my crate - it's my safe space. I know all my basic cues and I am a good listener. I need to put some more weight on and the easiest way to do that is to get me to work for my food - I like a challenge! I'm a little shy with new people and warm up to men faster than women, but it's just because I am more used to them. Small rooms are scary too, especially when I'm in a corner, so I have to take medication when I go to the vet.

Does Floyd like other animals?
I am new to Colorado after taking a road trip from Oklahoma and while I liked the car, some things out here are scary! I'm okay with smaller dogs, but big dogs are frightening and I bark to show them I don't want them near me. I like the cats I've met, but maybe too much because they always run away from me! I am doing really good at the ranch I am staying at. I like to watch the cows and chickens and love running in the big yard!

Does Floyd like children?
I have never met a small human! I also like to jump on older children. I would probably do best in a home with adults only. No children please.

Favorite Toys:
Honestly, I haven't had many toys in my life. I like balls and bones! I don't know what to do with stuffed toys, but I do like cuddling with them in my kennel.

Ideal Forever Home:
I'd love a home full of stability and love.
I could do very well alone and hang out in the yard or my crate. I'm good at occupying myself, but also so glad when people get home because I love to be pet and cuddled! I probably would do best in a household with no other animals, but I have lived successfully with smaller dogs in the past. I'd also do best in a home without children. With lots of love from my forever family, I would give that love back a thousand times!!
