Florence (Flo)

Flo is a 10-year-old Terrier who came to us from a hoarding situation involving 18 dogs in Palmdale, California. After spending years in an environment where she received little individual attention and had very limited exposure to the world around her, Flo is now facing a whole new lifeand its a lot for her to take in.<br/>Right now, Flo is still learning that people can be kind, that homes can be safe, and that she no longer has to worry about where her next meal or resting place will come from. She is understandably cautious, uncertain, and still trying to figure out who she can trust. While some of the other dogs from her rescue group have settled in more quickly, Flo is taking a little longer to find her footing, and thats perfectly okay.<br/>What Flo needs most is a patient adopter who will let her move at her own pace. She isnt looking for someone to rush her progressshes looking for someone willing to celebrate the small victories, whether thats accepting a gentle touch, choosing to sit nearby, or simply feeling comfortable enough to relax.<br/>Despite her fears, we believe there is a wonderful dog waiting to emerge as Flo continues to gain confidence.
