Florence

Meet Florence — A Little Southern Belle Ready for Her Happily-Ever-After!

At around 10 weeks old, Florence is a lab/border collie mix (best guess) who's ready to leave her rough beginnings behind and find a family to call her own!

Florence and her six siblings, along with their mama, were owner-surrendered to a very high-kill shelter here in South Texas. This shelter provides no medical care, and owner-surrendered dogs are at risk of euthanasia as soon as the following day. Their little family was facing a heartbreaking fate, so we stepped in and busted them out of their prison cell before it was too late! Now Florence has the chance to grow up knowing what every puppy deserves: safety, love, and a family who will never give up on her.

Florence is still a baby with a whole world waiting to be discovered! Her future family should be ready for all the fun and responsibilities that come with raising a puppy, including continued training, socialization, patience, and plenty of opportunities to explore and learn.

We may still be getting to know Florence's individual personality, but we know she's at the perfect age to bond with her humans and blossom into a wonderful companion. Just imagine watching her grow from a tiny puppy into your loyal sidekick, sharing family adventures, backyard playtime, and cozy evenings at home.

MARYLAND, HERE SHE COMES! Florence is scheduled to leave Texas on October 22nd and is expected to arrive in Maryland that weekend! She'll be available for adoption, so you could welcome this sweet girl into your family without waiting for another transport. Don't wait too long to apply!

Currently fostered in Brownsville, Texas.
