Flora's Story

Meet this sweet pug/terrier girl 💕

This one-year-old, 14-pound pug/terrier mix came to rescue in Bend after a difficult start in life, originally arriving from a high-kill animal shelter in Norman, Oklahoma. Since then, she has experienced several re-homings, and while she has remained loving and resilient, those changes have left her with a tender heart and a deep desire for stability.

She absolutely adores people and forms strong bonds with her person. Her happiest place is right by your side, whether that’s on the couch, following you from room to room, or simply being near. Because of her past, she does experience some abandonment-related anxiety and may need patience and reassurance as she learns that her person will always come back. With time, routine, and gentle support, she has the ability to build confidence and feel safe when left alone.

She enjoys the company of other dogs and loves to play, though she can be a bit enthusiastic and sometimes pushy. For that reason, she would likely do best with a calm, older dog who can help guide her, or as the center of attention in a home where she can soak up all the love.

This little girl has so much potential to be a truly devoted, lifelong companion. What she needs most is a stable, understanding home willing to give her the consistency and reassurance she’s been missing. In return, she will offer endless affection, loyalty, and companionship.

If you’re looking for a loving shadow who wants nothing more than to be your constant companion, she may be the perfect match—and ready to finally find her forever home. 🐾💗
